Jeigyeong Jeon's research interests are in energy and multifunctional materials and composites such as 3D printed sensor, electrochemical sensor, stretchable sensor, shape memory composites and eco-friendly nanomaterials. His specialties include chemical design to enhance the interfacial strength by designing the interfacial properties and reactivity between the two materials, and induces the final strength enhancement of the polymer or composite material.
His recent research topic is in the area of multi-functional energy storage composites. The electrical state of the battery combined with the CFRP structure is evaluated. Also the battery expansion effect during charging and discharging of the battery is determined to optimize the design of the MESC.
